heArt in Transition
A collective improvisation at the improvised church of Agia Agape* in Zefyros.
A night around the fire where we read texts written about love, about the heart, about transition, about the sea, songs and sharing in the circle. A space filled with the sounds of the waves, the presence of artists, silence, light, music. An event about how art heals, witnessing our stories, within an artistic framework of trust, where stories are transformed into words, sounds and presence and through communication and testimony, transformed.
The little chapel was originally created by Mr.Vangelis (deceased), former president of the winters swimmers, with assistance from Ala. Our action had a character of commemoration and revival of the improvised church on the rocks of Zefyros.
Located very close to the gypsy settlement it was Mr.Vangelis desire to create a bridge and inclusion.
Visitors were engaged, as they were bringing their texts to read, on their phones or with the help of candles.
Highlight of our night was the rise of the full moon, in reds and orange, that we welcomed with the sound of traditional Japanese flute (sakuhatsi), songs, narrations and fire.
